by Stefano Baia Curioni

The lecture Palazzo Te Experience by Stefano Baia Curioni, planned for tomorrow February 25, is cancelled and postponed to a new date, following the ordinance of Regione Lombardia regarding Covid 19 emergency.

As part of Park20eventi, Park Associati is hosting Stefano Baia Curioni in the first of a series of evenings dedicated to the protagonists of Milanese and Italian contemporary culture. An Associate Professor and lecturer of Art and Culture at Bocconi University, Baia Curioni has been studying since the ‘90s the transformation of culture production systems and the management of the Italian arts heritage.

Since 2017 he has been the director of the International Centre of art and culture of Palazzo Te of Mantua. Baia Curioni will talk of the work that has transformed Palazzo Te, a lesser- known museum that is nonetheless very important, into a community-invested institution capable of producing a cultural offer and enhancing its own exhibition activity through expansion and diversification and by actively engaging with modern art, architecture and photography. The museum thus becomes an interdisciplinary space of learning and experimentation, a veritable workshop where a multitude of different nationalities and cultures can meet and interact.A difficult but fascinating task aimed at giving continuity to cultural value. Food for thought on how many similar museums could be updated and transformed into a driving economic as well as cultural force for the country.
