Milan is undergoing a period of great ferment. Before, during and after Expo 2015, the city has managed to attract investment from both Italy and abroad, taking a gamble on its future as economic, scientific, cultural and innovative centre of attraction. Consequently, the city’s architectural profile is also changing: the refurbished buildings of the city’s centre, but also of the peripheral areas on its outskirts, make room for new areas dedicated to work, culture, leisure and reception that are in tune with contemporary living.
